As part of their observence of Lent, the youth have set up a “freak’n sweet” Stations of the Cross downstairs in Fellowship Hall. I would very much recommend that you stop by sometime this week and see it. Walking through the stations could be an excellent pre-Good Friday Service of Tenebrae activity (The Good Friday Service of Tenebrae begins at 7 pm, I’ll have the church open by 6 pm.)
We’re using the version of the stations from The United Methodist Book of Worship which provides the following description:
The Way (or Stations) of the Cross has been a common way of participating in the passion (suffering) of Christ as part of Good Friday services … The version offered here differs from traditional ones in that it includes only stations with a biblical basis. (BOW, 366)
