Yesterday in worship, we heard some really great special music, after which I tried to make the traditional argument that we should stop clapping and start saying “amen.” I received an unexpectedly large amount of pushback, and you all have convinced me to change my mind. Go ahead and clap, but I would still encourage you to try saying “amen” if you happen to think of it.
