Worshiping at St. John’s

This morning, Jenny, Liz, and I worshiped at St. John’s Episcopal Church. I wanted to be clear that we weren’t trying to avoid Tim Johnson or any of you at Abilene First UMC, but were instead trying to avoid work. Last year, while taking a staycation, we worshiped at Abilene First UMC and enjoyed getting to hear Tim Johnson and Erik Graefe preach. However, I later came to realize that it’s difficult to be on vacation while worshiping in the church I serve. Even when I’m not preaching or leading worship, I still feel responsible. It’s good to have a couple of Sundays off, but we’re looking forward to returning on July 10, 2016.
