Prayer Ministry Cards

We want to take the opportunity, first, to thank you for all the prayer requests we receive on the blue cards, second, to encourage you to keep letting us know when you have prayer concerns, and third, to explain our current practice regarding prayer request cards. When you fill out a blue prayer request card, you let us know your name and contact information (so we can get a hold of you if we have questions) along with the name and address of the person for whom you are requesting prayer, and how you want them included in the prayer ministry of the church. On the blue card you can indicate one or all of the following options: to have the prayer request placed in the prayer chapel for the weekly prayer vigil, for them to have a prayer partner assigned to them to pray for them throughout the week, and/or to have their name placed on the prayer list in the bulletin. You can also indicate if the prayer request is for the pastors only.

Once we receive a blue card, if a name is to be put on the bulletin prayer list, it will remain on the bulletin for two weeks, unless there is a request to keep the person’s name on the bulletin longer (this is to keep the bulletin list from becoming too long). All blue cards that are marked to be a part of the prayer vigil in the chapel each week will remain there for 4 weeks. If the prayer concern is regarding an ongoing need, after 4 weeks, the blue card will be removed from the chapel, but the information on the card will be transferred to our long-term prayer list that also is in the chapel for the prayer vigil.

One final note, please let us know updates on the persons we have prayed for. If someone has gotten better, just let us know on another blue card and we’ll update those who have been on the long-term prayer list. Thanks!
