In case you missed them, I wanted to repeat some statistics Jenny mentioned in yesterday’s sermon. Unfortunately, over the past year we have lost 15 people to death or the transfer of membership. During that same time period we have welcomed 16 new members. The average age of those we lost was 80 and the average age of the new members is 29. This is the first year that we have gained more than we have lost in at least 18 years (which is as far back as Jenny traced it). As Jenny said “This is a good sign and it is a good thing. But there is much work for us to do in order to continue this ministry and to move forward into the future.”
