Habitat For Humanity House Blessing

This news release comes from Jim Catlett via Chuck McFate:

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County Kansas would like to invite all volunteers, friends, sponsors, and the public to the blessing of the house and turning over of the keys to the completed house in Cherryvale at 8th and Carson on Sunday June 13th at 3:00pm. A short program and then a tour of the house will take place.
This house was built in partnership with  the Tilly Stewart family. Sponsored by the Dart Energy Foundation and the Wayside Christian Church.  Tim Goode of Cherryvale was the site Manager. The partner family provided a minimum of 300 hours of sweat equity in the house and will make a small, no interest payment which will be used to build future houses.

Habitat for Humanity’s goal is to provide decent, affordable housing for the citizens of Montgomery County.  A house is currently under construction in Coffeyville at 10th and Buckeye, sponsored by the Episcopal Dioceses of Kansas and volunteers are needed and appreciated. Work starts at 9:00am most Saturday. For more information call 620-330-0098.
