Finite Disappointment, Infinite Hope

Every year on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I try to read some of his writing. This quote was just what I needed today:

“On the one hand we must accept the finite disappointment, but in spite of this we must maintain the infinite hope. This is the only way that we will be able to live without the fatigue of bitterness and the drain of resentment. [1]”

We all face finite disappointment, but in Jesus Christ we can all maintain infinite hope.
