Of Pews and Rok-a-Chairs

Several people have expressed concern about their ability to sit in the new pews in the sanctuary because of health related reasons. Part of the rationale for the replacement of the theater seats was that they (the theater seats) were uncomfortable. The last thing we want is for someone who was comfortable in a theater seat to be miserable in a pew. Therefore, several of the church’s 60 billion (a slight overstatement) Rok-a-Chairs will be available to those who need them. They will simply be slid into the handicapped slots.
