This seems like the kind of thing to get a Monday started right.
Parlor Repairs — Snapshots
Some long delayed repairs to the parlor began yesterday. You may remember that in January 2010 we had some pipes freeze and water damage in the parlor resulted. As the parlor was used as a staging area for the pews, repairs were delayed, now that the pews are in, repairs have begun. If you’re on a smartphone visit this page.
Vacation Bible School — Snapshots
We had our first day of Vacation Bible School yesterday with 46 kids. Today we gained some and lost some for a total of 45. Below are some pictures from the first day. If you’re on a smartphone visit this page.

Kid's Night Out in Pictures
Last night we had our first Kid’s Night Out. Due to conflicts and sickness we didn’t have as many kids as we had planned on, but we still had a great time. I especially want to thank Heather and Jeff Allen and my wife, Jenny Collins, for all their hard work. Amanda Allen took all the pictures. All I did was get my picture taken and eat pizza.

The Twelve Days of Christmas Remixed
I was told about this video when I preached at Independence First on the Sunday after Christmas day, but I just came across it. There’s no specifically theological meaning, but it is the twelfth day of Christmas so I thought I would share. I have to agree with Ezra Klein, that “As a general observation, virtually all songs could be improved by being set to the tune of ‘Africa.'”
Children's Christmas Program — 12 Days of Christmas
On this, the tenth day of Christmas, the children performed the song the Twelve Days of Christmas with the congregation singing along. Several children were absent because of conflicts with the rescheduled performance date, some were absent because of the weather and one refused to come forward, so we had some adults fill in.
