This Sunday, November 27, CAUMC will be having our Service of Decoration. This is also the first Sunday of Advent. For those that are unfamiliar with this service, we use this Sunday to decorate the Sanctuary, remembering where many of our Christmas traditions originated. The Service of Decoration will begin at 10:30 a.m., and all are welcome to attend and participate. Be sure to ask about the potatoes!
Service of Decoration Preparation: 10-11 am Saturday, November 26
The Service of Decoration is November 27, the first Sunday of Advent. This worship service is a highlight in the life of our church. Please gather with me on Saturday from 10-11 am in joyous preparation for the Service of Decoration. Dawn Anderson, Worship Chair.

The Thanksgiving Offering is this Sunday, November 20.
The CAUMC Outreach Committee has decided to support our local community with this year’s Thanksgiving Offering. The 2022 beneficiary will be the Manhattan Emergency Shelter, Inc. (MESI)
The Caroline Peine Transitional Shelter provides housing to individuals and families without homes in Riley County and the close surrounding area. Striving to maintain a safe and clean environment for the community’s homeless population, the Caroline Peine Transitional Shelter also advocates in the acquisition of affordable permanent housing for residents. MESI provides comprehensive services to ensure that clients’ basic needs are met and they are also integrated with other services and resources in the community. The Caroline Peine Transitional Shelter provides the unique, year round, 24 hour accessibility to not only the clients served, but also to the community as a whole.
Each year the Manhattan Emergency Shelter, Inc. serves approximately 500 people. Your donations help to further support their mission.
