As always, the church office will be closed tomorrow in celebration of Labor Day. In addition, I’ll be taking 24 hours off from 5:00 p.m. today until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow. Our wise District Superintendent, Rev. Dee Williamston, has recently impressed upon me the spiritual importance of taking time off away from work. So I’m going to take the day and honor those who gave their lives to bring fairer wages, better hours, safer workplaces and an end to child labor. That said, please don’t hesitate to call if you have a true pastoral emergency.
