“The Hebrew Bible and the New Testament were written to some extent in the context of life and culture as they existed at the time. It has now been at least 2000 years since the most recently canonized scripture. Has God stopped communicating to us with timely scripture?”
And from a separate card:
“Are any more prophets to be heard? Did that gift end with Jesus? How do we know who is prophetic?”
In my eyes, all these questions are tied together. And so I’ll be attempting to answer them all in one sermon.
