General Preaching Question

I’ve been striving to make my sermons more visual through better use of the screens we have in the chapel and the sanctuary. This requires extra effort (sometimes a lot of extra effort). I don’t mind the extra effort if it’s a better way to proclaim the gospel, but I want to make sure that it actually is a better way to proclaim the gospel. So, the question is: are more visual sermons more effective sermons? I’ve given it a lot of thought and I’ve spoken with quite a few of my colleagues, but I would love to get some feedback from the individual perspectives of those of you in the pews. You can talk to me in person, call me, or drop me a line at john@revcollins.com. Oh … and there’s also the poll below.
