The Parsons District UMC Tenth Igniting Ministry Celebration will be held Sunday, September 19, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church’s Wesley Center, 200 South Penn, Independence, Kansas.  The theme of the day is, “God’s People Caring for God’s Creation.” Gathering will be from 2:00-2:30 pm for registration, conversation and silent auction.  The Celebration will be from 2:30-4:30 pm  The offering will be collected will support the ministry of Common Ground in the Parsons District.  Concluding the day will be a Dinner and Fellowship.  Everyone is asked to bring a dish to share.  You are invited to bring a dish made from local ingredients as we care for God’s world, and support our local farmers.  Meat, drink and table service will be provided.
